Keto Zone Thanksgiving Turkey with Gravy

Ingredients

Oven-Roasted Turkey:
15 lb. pasture-raised organic turkey
1 organic white onion, chopped
1 organic lemon, sliced
1 bulb organic garlic, minced
1 teaspoon organic dried rosemary
1/4 cup grass-fed butter, melted
2 teaspoons sea salt

Gravy:
Turkey innards
1/3 cup organic chicken broth
3 cups filtered water
1 teaspoon organic coconut aminos
4 tablespoons organic thyme
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1 organic bay leaf
1/4 teaspoons organic rosemary
1/4 cup grass-fed butter
2 teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons organic black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
  2. Stuff the turkey with all of the ingredients listed.
  3. On low heat, melt 1/4 cup butter with 2 teaspoons of sea salt.
  4. Pour butter over the turkey making sure to coat thoroughly.
  5. Bake turkey for 2 1/2 hours (or until internal temp reaches 165 F).
  6. In a large sauce pot combine 3 cups water and 1/3 cup chicken broth.
  7. Add the turkey innards to the pot and bring to a rolling boil.
  8. Reduce heat down to medium-low and simmer for an hour.
  9. Add green onion, thyme, bay leaf, rosemary, salt, and pepper to the gravy.
  10. Continue to boil for another 30 minutes.
  11. Remove gravy from heat.
  12. Put 4 tablespoons of butter in a blender and then pour in the gravy.
  13. Blend until thoroughly combined.
  14. Return gravy to the sauce pot and simmer on low until cooked down to desired consistency.
  15. Once cooked, remove turkey from oven.
  16. Pour turkey pan drippings in to the gravy and stir.
  17. Let turkey rest before serving.
