Can you actually eat brownies on a ketogenic diet?
Yes, you certainly can!
This delicious keto brownie recipe is low-carb, grain-free, and dairy free. These decadent desserts are sweetened with a low-carb sugar alcohol called erythritol.
Erythritol is a sugar substitute that has a sweet taste but is not absorbed by the body. For most people erythritol has a negligible effect on blood sugar.
There are many types of sugar alcohols and most are made with hydrogenation.
Erythritol, however, is much safe to use because it is made from the natural process of fermentation.
Most erythritol is derived from corn so make sure to buy non-GMO.
