Keto Zone Independence Day: Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken

Made with marinated organic chicken thighs, this grilled chicken recipe is both low-carb and delicious.

Organic chopped rosemary adds an herbaceous flavor as well as a healthy dose of phytonutrients and antioxidants. Fresh squeezed lemon juice helps predigest the protein while adding vitamin C and potassium. Grass-fed ghee contributes healthy fats while coconut aminos adds a touch of salty umami flavor.

Ingredients

6 organic chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
1/4 cup organic lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh organic rosemary, chopped
2 tablespoons organic/grass-fed ghee
2 tablespoons organic coconut aminos
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon organic black pepper powder

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together marinade by combining the the ghee, lemon juice, chopped rosemary, sea salt, back pepper and aminos.
  2. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Use a meat mallet to flatten out the chicken thighs.
  4. Place chicken thighs into the bowl of marinade and cover.
  5. Place bowl in the refrigerator and allow chicken to marinate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat the grill to 450 F.
  7. Cook the chicken thighs for 4-5 mins each side.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
