Keto Biscuits and Gravy Recipe

Ingredients

Biscuits:

3 cups blanched almond flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
1/2 teaspoon organic garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
6 tablespoons grass-fed butter, softened
2 organic/free-range eggs

Gravy:

1 pound ground organic breakfast sausage
2 tablespoons grass-fed butter
4 tablespoons organic cream cheese
1/2 cup organic heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup organic chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
1/2 teaspoon organic black pepper

Instructions

Biscuits:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, and sea salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add in the eggs and butter.
  5. Continue mixing until a dough is formed.
  6. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  7. Separate biscuit dough into 10 separate balls.
  8. Roll each ball into disc roughly 1/2 inch thick.
  9. Arrange biscuits on the baking sheet.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Once cooked, remove from oven and allow to cool.

Gravy:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add in sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Add butter and cream cheese and stir until melted.
  4. Add chicken broth and heavy cream and broth into the skillet and continue to stir.
  5. Add in xanthan gum and black pepper.
  6. Stir until well combined.
  7. Heat to a gentle simmer then remove skillet from heat.
  8. Continue to stir until gravy begins to thicken.
  9. Spoon gravy over the biscuits.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
