INGREDIENTS
12 large organic mushrooms
1/2 pound organic ground turkey
2 tablespoons grass-fed butter
3/4 cups organic cream cheese
1/4 cup organic fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
3 tablespoons organic fresh chives, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon organic black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Once butter is melted, add turkey to the pan and cook until browned.
- As the turkey is cooking, separate stems from the mushroom caps.
- Chop the stems.
- Add the chopped stems to the turkey as it cooks.
- Place the mushroom caps on a baking tray.
- Set aside chopped parsley to use as garnish once the mushrooms have cooked.
- Add the remaining ingredients (except chopped parsley) to the turkey and stir until well combined.
- Remove the turkey mixture from the heat.
- Spoon a portion of the mixture in to each mushroom.
- Bake mushrooms for 20 minutes or until they begin to brown.
- Remove from oven when fully cooked.
- Plate, and serve warm.
- Enjoy!
